Vincente's Gourmet Pizza: JULY 12th, 7:00pm

Last Thursday we had a small group and delicious dinner at Ya Hala.  Thanks to those who joined us for yummy Stuffed Grape Leaves and Tabouli!

Vincente's has gourmet pizza by the slice or the pie, great for those on a budget and easy access to public transportation at 1935 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97214

At 8pm, some of the Vincente's regulars (including Nicole who has picked out this restaurant) hold an impromptu board game night for the locals and any of their guests so we plan to play some games with anyone who would like to stay!

We had a group of seven enjoy the friendly E'Njoni Ethiopian Restaurant, where we had delicious Honey Wine and Kitfo. Thanks to all for joining us in the unique experience!

E'Njoni Cafe - June 16th

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week at the Thai Peacock. Ten of us enjoyed wonderful company, interesting dinner music and excellent noodles and curry.

Our next Stumptown Dinner will be Thursday, June 16th at E'Njoni Cafe at 910 North Killingsworth St., located just off the I-5 freeway. We will be meeting for dinner at 7pm. Come share some wonderful Ethiopian cuisine with us. We'll save you some injera!

We had a lovely inaugural Stumptown Dinner at Maya's Taqueria, thank you to everyone that came out. We had a wonderful turnout of seven folks who enjoyed some wonderful grilled prawns and fantastic company.

Please join us at Thai Peacock for our next dinner on Wednesday, June 1st at 6:30pm. The Thai Peacock is located at 219 SW 9th Ave, easily accessible via public transportation.

Welcome to Stumptown Dinners! Please join us for our first gathering on Tuesday May 17th, 2011 at 8pm. We will be meeting at Maya's Taqueria at 1000 SW Morrison St. in downtown Portland.

All are welcome. Stumptown dinners will meet twice a month, with restaurants selected by participating members. If you would like to select a restaurant, simply attend a gathering and suggest it. The criteria for restaurants are:

1) The restaurant must be accessible by public transportation.

2) The restaurant must have an in-house dining area.

3) There must be options of $10 or lower.

We strongly encourage independently owned establishments. Please consider joining us for some wonderful company and excellent food. We appreciate RSVPs via responses to this blog.
